Our presence
Mitra SK South Africa ( Pty ) Ltd was awarded complete laboratory services for a period of 5 years by TATA Steel KZN Pty Ltd (TSKZN) at Richards Bay.. We have invested in the laboratory at their plant and the complete analysis of Hot Metal, Slag, ores, coal, coke, limestone, quartz, finished product (High Carbon Ferro Chrome), effluent, water etc. is being done by us on a 24 x 7 x 365 basis. We also do the weighment certification for export through the different ports of South Africa.
Apart from TSKZN, we are conducting sampling and assay of the various mineral ores on behalf of many reputed companies in South Africa; the Johannesburg office serves customers in other South African countries.
Laboratory
Our laboratory at Richards Bay is equipped with highly sophisticated instruments viz. Leco Calorimeter, Ultimate Analyser, Induction Furnaces, XRF, AAS, Fluxers and other related instruments which equip us to carry out analysis of almost all Minerals, Coal and Trace Elements. We are also in the process of adding more high precision equipments to consolidate our role as a reliable testing and inspection company. Own modern lab offer the best quality service levels to the mining industry in South Africa with a fast turnaround time.
At your service
Our core strength is derived from the highly skilled, experienced and professional manpower that we have very carefully nurtured to make them customer oriented. Our teams are built from the 60 experienced personnel experienced in diverse fields and are based out of the headquarters in Johannesburg and laboratory in Richards Bay. We have a regime of systematic performance evaluation system and training of manpower by imparting both in-house and external training.
