Mitra SK is geared to serve even in remote locations through a network of well-equipped laboratories and sampling teams across the Globe. This gives us the flexibility to render customer specific service at load and discharge points accurately and on time. For advanced analysis the Central Testing Laboratory in Calcutta undertakes advanced chemical, radiological and photometric studies with sophisticated equipment and experienced scientists.
The Central Laboratory is primarily engaged in third-party assessment of exported and imported commodities where proficiency testing is involved. A broad range of commodities, such as ore, minerals, coal, coke, graphite, ferro-alloys, fertilizers, soil, water, refractory and rock, are regularly analyzed utilizing conventional methods and modern instrument based analytical techniques. The performance of each MSK laboratory is regularly monitored by internal inter-laboratory/proficiency testing programs, as well as by programs organized by NABL/APLAC between accredited laboratories.
The laboratories in all countries are staffed and managed by qualified and experienced chemist and technicians. These personnel are provided with regular training to keep them abreast with the latest technology, techniques and equipment. The QMS and SOP are followed for all operations and assay processes ; a Corporate Quality Management team audits compliance and continual improvement.

The Central Lab has also been selected by NABL to function as Nodal Laboratory for Iron ore analysis
